Google Drive Is Here: Cheap And Easy Drag+Drop Cloud Service

After all the speculation, Google Drive is finally here! The cloud service allows users the ability to access vital information from a host of products from either home, your dorm, work or on the go — utilizing easy drag-and-drop technology that makes being unable to send large files via email a thing of the past.

Drive is offering consumers 5 GB of free storage — more than twice the 2 GB of free storage offered by Dropbox. And google’s service is available for Macintosh, Windows and Android devices. An iOS version is weeks away.

And while Dropbox charges $10 a month for 50 GB, Google intends to sell a whopping 100 GB for $4.99 a month.

So for those students with 2 million final page papers or students trying to transfer large art portfolios Google drive might very well be your best bang for your buck.
